Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account details: name, email address, password (stored encrypted by our authentication provider), account type (golfer, coach or parent), and when you accepted these terms.
• Golfer profiles: date of birth, graduation year, location, school, golf statistics and rankings, tournament results, academic information (GPA, test scores, NCAA Eligibility Center ID), video links, a bio and a parent or guardian's email.
• Coach profiles: school, division, conference, title and bio.
• Messages and updates you send or post on ProAtleta Consult.
• Safety records: blocks and reports you make.
• Basic technical data needed to keep you signed in and the service secure, such as cookies for your session.

College coach directory

Our directory lists NCAA golf programs and the names, titles and work contact details of their coaching staff. This comes from public sources: the NCAA member directory and each school's official athletics website. Coaches can ask us to correct or remove their listing by emailing dballesteros@proatletaconsult.com.

Who can see a golfer's information

• The golfer, and the parent or guardian whose email the golfer added.
• College coaches we have verified as members of an NCAA coaching staff, and only after a parent or guardian approves the account of a golfer under 18.
• Golfer profiles are never visible to the public, to search engines or to other golfers.

Golfers under 18 and parental consent

ProAtleta Consult is not for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. Golfers aged 13 to 17 must provide a parent or guardian's email. We email that parent a link to approve the account. Until they approve, the profile stays hidden from coaches and the golfer can't message coaches. Parents can read their golfer's conversations with coaches, get an email when a coach writes, and withdraw approval at any time using the same link. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account.

How we use information

• To run the service: show profiles, deliver messages and send notifications.
• To verify coaches and keep minors safe, including reviewing reports.
• To send emails about your account, such as confirmations, password resets and new messages.
• To fix problems and improve ProAtleta Consult.

We do not sell personal information, and we don't use golfers' information for advertising.

Service providers

We use trusted providers to run ProAtleta Consult: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting) and Resend (email). They process data only on our behalf and under their own security and privacy commitments. We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a person.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time from Settings. That permanently removes your profile, results, updates, messages and conversations. We may keep safety reports for a limited time where we need them to protect others.

Your choices and rights

You can view and edit your information in Settings, and ask us for a copy of it or to correct it. Depending on where you live (for example California, or the EU and UK for international golfers), you may have additional rights. To use them, email dballesteros@proatletaconsult.com.

Security

Access to data is enforced in our database, not just in the app. Information is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.
